Rādhārāṇī Braja Yatra 2012: Day 10 Koṣi, Raknakar Kunda

Today was our second day in the same pandal, Koshi Kala. This is Rādhārāṇī’s wish. I couldn’t tell about the importance about this place yesterday because of Yamuna battle talks. This is the first place we started our big work of protection and preservation in Brajabhumi. We restored Gumpti kuṇḍa

here.

Braja Yatra 2012: Day 10’s real name is Kushvan. This is a name of Dvārakā. Here Kṛṣṇa gave darshan of Dvārakā to all the Brajabāsīs. In the Garga Samhita it says the name of Dvārakā is Kushvan. Nārāyaṇa Bhattaji has narrated nicely by this spiritual mantra.

In Dvārakā , there is Gompti river, and here we have Gompti kuṇḍa, which is created by the tears of the gopis. We have restored but more work is needed.

Manu’s had a son named Sharyati, who had two sons, Uttanvarya(theKing of Northside of the planet), then Bhurishen(he was preceptor of the Southside), and Anartha(the over seer of the whole world).

Anartha was a true devotee. He could not tolerate his father’s talk, claiming proprietorship of all surroundings, which was against his belief. Anartha said God is the Owner of the universe.

Brahma praised Raja Bali in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. That time Vidyavali cut the talks short and said, “The whole world is created by God to perform all lilas. No one is the owner, doer, and preserver of anything. Man cannot even create a small hair on the head and we think that we are the doer?”

Do not think that you are the owner of anything. He says only shameless persons think that that we are creators.

Anarthji said, “You have not created this earth or other things, all these elements are belong to Kṛṣṇa.” His father did not like that. Anarthji responded, even the srutis confirm that the air, fire in the body, everything is there because of Kṛṣṇa’s wish.

His father got angry and told him to leave. “You can leave and go to Kṛṣṇa, all here is mine.” Anarthji, understanding the situation left and performed austerities for 10,000 years in the ocean. Then Śrī Kṛṣṇa appeared to him and the sage recited some beautiful prayers. He told the Lord what had happened and said, “I will only go to earth if you provide for me.”

Then Śrī Kṛṣṇa said, “There is no other earth in this universe, but I am going to give you a 10yojanearth which will be from Vaikuntha, this is the land of Dvārakā.” He became the king of that place.

He had this kingdom for 100,000 years, his son’s name was Revat, who established Raivat Mountain and was also a great devotee of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. He would pray so nicely that even tears would come from Kṛṣṇa’s eyes, which became Gompti River, near Dvārakā. Just by its darshan one gets liberation. When Kṛṣṇa’s chakra fell into the Gumpti river it became Chakra Tirtha.

There is a temple at the bank of the river Durga. After Kṛṣṇa left the earth, the residents of Dvārakā prayed to goddess Durga. So here in Koshi there is a Durga temple.

One yajña was performed by Kuber and Gantanath. Durvāsā suddenly came. Kuber bowed down to him. Durvāsā said, “I will ask something from you, if you can not give, then I will curse you.”(Kuber and Ghantanath just stood there). He then asked, “Give me all Nav Nidhi(nine special powers).”

Ghantanath said, “Why do you need all this?” Durvāsā got so angry that the whole atmosphere changed and he cursed the both of them. Kuber was to be an elephant and Ghantanath, a crocodile.

This was the precursor to Gajendra Mokṣa lila, Kuber was so afraidthat he gave the nine nidhis to Durvāsā, but Durvāsā gave 18 back.

In front of the ocean, there is kunda by the name of Ratnakar

kuṇḍa

. Ratnakar is the form of the ocean which is next to Dvārakā.

Gautam’s son, Medhavi, who was very expert, performed austerities for 1,000,000 years. Once one Rishi came to meet him, he did not get up and was cursed by this yogi to become a mountain because he did not get up when the rishi arrived.

When a saint, a sadhu, or highly elevated person comes, then you should get up and bow down.

Śrī Shail’s son, Shail mountain asked Nāradaji to ask King Revat to give him a space in Dvārakā . Nāradaji said to the King, that there is no mountain, you need a mountain to compliment the beauty there and Shail, who is a mountain would be perfect for this seva.

Sri Shail learned that Revat was taking Shail away, so he gathered many super mountains like the Himalayas to help him. Revat, with such added strength, brought Shail to Dvārakā . Others could not copy this feat.

When Revatji was taking Shailji to Dvārakā , even Krsna came to help. Krsna told Revat, “Do not be afraid, just take and go.”

Dilip was a very strong monkey in the time of Rāmaji and was friendly with Hanumānji and Lakṣmaṇa. No one could defeat him, but here Balarāmaji finished him with one blow of the fist. That place is also here in Koṣi.

Once there was an eclipse of the sun. All the Brajabāsīs went to Dvārakā. Rādhārāṇī also went in a palikan. All the 16,108 queens, and all the Yadu vanshis(entire Yadu dynasty), everyone was there. Thousands of gopis also went. Many gopis from the Siddha Ashram were there.

Just like in the Kumbamela, it is important who will bathe in the river first. Similarly, there was a big decision to be made, after the Yadu Vanshis been defeated by the gwalas by their conclusive arguments of seniority in the bathing rituals. The conclusion was that Rādhārāṇī would bathe first.

When people from Dvārakā asked “Who is this?”

Rukmiṇī said, “Only Rādhārāṇī is so beautiful? How many things happened because of me? There is so much importance in regard to me?” Satyabhāmā who was also upset said, “Rukmiṇī is also very beautiful, we are all princesses, and Rādhārāṇī is just from a village after all.”

Kṛṣṇa interceded and said, “She is the daughter of Vṛṣabhānu and Kirtida Maiya. I am always feeling separation from Her, She is the mostdear and close to Me.”

As it was Kṛṣṇa saying this, it carried great weight, He then said, “Lets first see Her then we will decide.” The narration is so beautiful that it is impossible to fully describe.

So many persons in seeing Śrīji just fainted in looking at Her beauty. Just as in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam when it is said about Śrī Kṛṣṇa, a surpassing beauty is there with Rādhā. She steals the heart of the greatest thief, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Just to steal Her, Kṛṣṇa became a chor and stole her away from Vṛṣabhān Bhuvan(Vṛṣabhānu‘s palace).

Rādhā is even a bigger thief because She steals the heart of the thief.

One who gets immersed in devotion to the opulence of Her Lotus Feet, always get so much Mercy that even Kṛṣṇa showers all His love and Mercy. Only Rādhārāṇī can give so much.

When all the queens saw Her for the first time, they all fainted. They were so shy just like when the sun comes up into the shy all the stars disappear. They were all outshined by in front of Her.

They all went with Kṛṣṇa to meet Her. Rādhārāṇī welcomed them. She gave a Simhasana(seat), which was extremely beautiful.

She said, “I am so pleased to see you, My Avatar is complete now. You have done so much for Me in Braja, You even killed Shankhachuda for Me in Braja, You lifted Girirāja for Me.”

All the queens hugged Her and Rādhārāṇī gave and excellent lecture there. The queens asked about the rasa lila in Vṛndāvana. Krsna told them to ask Rādhārāṇī if they could have it there, but that would not be possible because there is no Yamuna, no Vṛndāvana there.

They asked Rādhārāṇī to come for dinner there and served Her very nicely. Śrī Kṛṣṇa mentioned to be sure that they gave her some milk.

Later they saw that Kṛṣṇa’s feet had burnt skin and so they asked, “How come Your feet are like this.” Kṛṣṇa then asked, “When you served Rādhā did you give Her hot milk?”

They replied, “Well yes Rādhārāṇī was so shy that She just took what we gave Her.” Krsna confirmed “Because You have served hot milk to Rādhārāṇī, My feet have become burned. In Her heart My feet always resides.”
