The real yagna as done in past (especially in Tretayug), Sri Krsna katha used to be an important part of it…and it consisted of long long Sri Krsna katha discourses…many examples in Srimad Bhagavatam, 7th Canto when Yudhistir Maharaj doing Rajsuya yagna, Sri Naradmuni was the speaker. And another part of yagna is havan…two kinds of havan – one in fire and one via mouths of Brahmins / devotees….both are Sri Krsna’s mouth…but Sri Krsna is more happy if instead of putting ghee in fire we use it for making halva / puri and serve prasadam to devotees.
